Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2025

AIMS ("we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our school management platform.

What we collect

We collect information you provide when signing up (school name, admin contact, region) and data created when using the platform (student records, attendance, fees, grades). We also collect technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and service improvement.

How we use it

We use your data to provide and improve AIMS, to communicate with you about your account, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Where we use analytics (e.g. site usage), we load them only after you accept cookies; you can withdraw consent at any time. Analytics are aggregated and anonymised.

Data location & sovereignty

You can choose where your data is stored—in your preferred region or on-premises. We do not transfer student or school data outside the jurisdictions you approve. Our infrastructure supports regional and in-country deployment.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to data is restricted and audited. We follow security best practices and will notify you of any incident affecting your data.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your data. You can export your data at any time. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@aims.education.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
